PT INR
PT INR
Service Description
The PT/INR test measures how long it takes for your blood to clot and helps ensure that your blood-thinning medication (such as warfarin) is working effectively. The Prothrombin Time (PT) measures clotting speed, while the International Normalized Ratio (INR) standardizes this result across different labs, making it easier for your healthcare provider to monitor your treatment. Why Get Tested? Monitor Anticoagulant Therapy: For patients taking blood thinners, PT/INR ensures the medication is at the right level to prevent blood clots without causing excessive bleeding. Assess Bleeding Disorders: Detect issues with clotting that may signal liver disease or other bleeding disorders. Surgical Preparation: Evaluate your clotting ability before surgeries or medical procedures to ensure safe recovery. At Quick Test Health Services, our PT/INR test provides fast, accurate results to help manage your treatment and monitor your blood health.
