What Is Digital LiveScan Fingerprinting?
Getting fingerprinted for an AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or professional license shouldn't feel like a hurdle. Our walk-in lab uses digital LiveScan technology to capture your prints electronically — then prints them onto a standard FBI FD-258 fingerprint card for you to submit with your application.
LiveScan is the modern digital fingerprinting method used by law enforcement, the FBI, and licensing agencies nationwide. By capturing prints digitally before printing them to a card, we eliminate ink smudges, ensure all ten prints are classifiable, and significantly reduce the chance of your card being rejected by AZ DPS or the FBI.
We support the most common Arizona fingerprinting needs:
Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Cards: Level 1 and IVP (Identity Verified Prints) cards required for healthcare workers, nursing students, teachers, childcare staff, foster parents, and other regulated positions.
Professional Licensing: Nursing, real estate, security, dispensary agents, insurance, and other state-licensed professions.
Government & Permits: Concealed carry weapons (CCW), liquor licensing, ATF firearm applications, and federal background checks.
FBI & Out-of-State Submissions: Standard FBI FD-258 cards accepted by the FBI, out-of-state licensing boards, and federal agencies that require physical card submission.

FAQ SECTION
What's the difference between Level 1 and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Cards? A Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card is the standard Arizona DPS clearance required for most healthcare, education, and regulated positions. An IVP (Identity Verified Prints) card is an enhanced version required for specific roles like teachers, childcare workers, and certain healthcare settings — it includes additional identity verification. Your school, employer, or licensing agency will specify which card you need.
How long does LiveScan take? The fingerprint capture itself takes about 5 minutes. Most walk-in visits are complete in 15 minutes or less from the moment you sit down — including your printed FD-258 card.
Do you submit my fingerprints electronically? No. Most Arizona agencies — including AZ DPS for Fingerprint Clearance Cards — require a printed FD-258 fingerprint card mailed in with the application. We use digital LiveScan technology to capture your prints with high quality, then print them on a standard FBI FD-258 card you take with you. You submit the card and your application directly to the agency.
