A titer is a simple blood test that confirms whether you're still immune to a disease you were vaccinated for or had as a child. If your job, school, or paperwork is asking you to "prove immunity" and you can't find your old records, you don't need to redo a single shot — you just need a titer.

We run them as walk-ins in Mesa, with prices you can see upfront and no doctor's order required.

What Is an Immunity Titer? (And Why You Might Need One)

A titer measures the level of IgG antibodies in your blood — the proteins your immune system keeps on file to fight off a specific disease. If the level is high enough, it proves you're still protected, which means you can skip re-vaccinating just because you lost your childhood records. It's the fast, needle-light way to satisfy an immunity requirement: one blood draw instead of a fresh vaccine series. A titer confirms past immunity — it does not diagnose a current, active infection.

Understanding Your Results:

Positive, Negative, or Equivocal

Here's how to read your report the moment it lands, in plain English:

  • Positive (Immune) — your antibodies are strong enough. You're protected, and your requirement is met. Done.

  • Negative (Not Immune) — your protection has faded over time. This is common and not alarming; it usually just means you take your report to a provider for a booster shot, then you're set.

  • Equivocal (Borderline) — your level sits right on the line. A provider may recommend a booster or a repeat titer to be sure.

  •

A negative result isn't a failure — it's exactly what the test is for. Better to know now than to be turned away on your start date.

Blood Titer FAQ

Do I need to fast for a titer blood test? No. Titers measure antibodies, not blood sugar or cholesterol, so you can eat normally and come in any time during walk-in hours.

How fast do titer results come back in Mesa? Most titer results are back within a few business days. If you're racing a clinical start date or an HR deadline, tell us when you come in and we'll set expectations clearly.

What happens if my titer comes back negative? It simply means your immunity has waned. You take your report to a provider for a booster, and you're done — it's a normal, fixable result, not a problem with your test.
