We cut a small sample of hair, about the thickness of a pencil, close to the scalp, usually from the back of the head where it won't be noticeable. It's quick and painless. If your head hair is too short, we can collect body hair instead, such as from the arms, legs, or chest. Body hair grows more slowly, so it can show a longer history than head hair.
The sample is sealed in front of you with chain-of-custody paperwork and sent to a certified lab.
