About This Test This test checks whether you've been exposed to tuberculosis — a bacterial infection that mainly affects the lungs and spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It's the standard TB screen required by most healthcare employers, schools, nursing programs, and senior-care facilities. Many people carry TB without feeling sick at all, which is exactly why testing is required for people working in higher-risk settings, even when they feel fine. Who This Test Is For • Healthcare workers, nursing students, and new hires meeting employer TB screening requirements • Students enrolling in nursing or healthcare programs • Staff at senior-care and long-term care facilities • Anyone who needs documented TB clearance for work, school, or travel What to Expect & Preparation Preparation: No special preparation needed. Your Lab Visit: This is a two-visit test. On your first visit, a trained provider places a small amount of testing fluid just under the skin of your forearm — about 15 minutes. Keep the area clean and avoid scratching, bandaging, or applying lotion to it. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday only — we don't place TB skin tests on Thursdays, since the 48–72 hour reading would fall on a weekend when we're closed. Turnaround Time: Return 48–72 hours after placement so we can read your result. Your official clearance certificate is completed and handed to you the same day, at that reading visit.

Testing Policy & Important Information Scheduling Requirements If you received a test code from your employer for drug testing or a third party: Do NOT book online Drug Testing hours: Monday-Friday 7 AM - 5 PM Walk in with your code during these hours Ulta Lab Tests and TB Gold (QuantiFERON) for pre-employment testing with a test code: Must call the office to schedule: (602) 428-4557 Cannot be self-booked online Saturday: By appointment only. No walk-ins on Saturday. Payment & Refunds All sales are final. If you pay for a test online and later realize you have an employer code or third-party payment, no refunds will be issued — store credit only. Recollections: Blood work is sometimes delayed in transit, lost, or needs to be recollected. While we are not responsible for laboratory delays or lost specimens, we will recollect your sample for free if needed. Cancellations & Rescheduling 24-hour cancellation notice required. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee. We may need to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances and will contact you as soon as possible.
