What's Included

Your blood is tested for the five things an annual physical covers:

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
  • Lipid Panel
  • Hemoglobin A1c
  • TSH (thyroid)

Who it's for: Anyone who hasn't had labs in over a year, people without insurance or a doctor, and anyone who wants the same set a doctor orders for an annual physical.

Just want the basics? The Routine Blood Work panel is $79.

Why Choose This Panel?

This is the panel to get if it's been more than a year since your last labs. It covers blood cells, kidney and liver function, electrolytes, cholesterol, three-month blood sugar and thyroid in one stick, which is the same list a primary care office orders at a yearly checkup.

Getting it here instead of through a doctor's office means no appointment to wait for, no referral, and one price instead of a visit fee plus a lab bill. Take the report to any provider, or keep it for yourself.

How much is blood work without insurance?

Full panel blood work at Quick Test Health Services in Mesa is $99. That covers the draw, the lab work on all five tests (CBC, CMP, lipid panel, A1c and TSH) and your results in the patient portal. There is no office visit fee, no draw fee, and nothing billed to you later.

You don't need insurance or a doctor's order; the panel is ordered under our physician's standing authorization. Single tests start at $25 if you only need one, and HSA and FSA cards are accepted for blood work.

What If My Result Is Abnormal?

An out-of-range value is a flag, not a diagnosis. Most abnormal results on a routine panel are mild and explained by something ordinary: dehydration, a recent meal, a medication, a cold. The report marks each value against the lab's reference range so you can see exactly which number is off and by how much.

If something is flagged, you have options. Take the report to your own doctor. If you don't have a doctor, telehealth review of your blood work is available.

Do I need to fast for blood work?

Yes, if you can. Come in fasting, water only, for 8 to 12 hours. The glucose on the metabolic panel and the triglycerides on the lipid panel are the two numbers that move after a meal, and they're the ones a doctor compares against a fasting range. We open at 7 AM so you can be drawn and eat breakfast by 7:30.

If you can't fast, you can still be tested. The CBC, thyroid, A1c and testosterone don't depend on it, and a non-fasting lipid panel is now accepted for most people by major cardiology groups. Tell us at check-in whether you fasted so it's noted on your result.

What does blood work show about liver, kidney and thyroid?

The CMP in this panel reports liver enzymes (ALT, AST, alkaline phosphatase) and bilirubin, which rise when the liver is irritated by alcohol, medication, fatty liver or infection. It also reports creatinine and BUN, the two standard kidney markers, along with electrolytes and glucose.

The TSH reports how hard your pituitary is pushing your thyroid. A high TSH usually means an underactive thyroid; a low one, overactive. If TSH is off, the Full Thyroid Panel adds free T3, free T4 and antibodies to show why.

How fast are results? Most panels are released by the lab within 1 to 2 business days. We send them the same business day the lab releases them, by text, to your patient portal.
