Testosterone (Free & Total) Blood Test Specimen Type: Blood | Fasting: Not required | Results: 1–2 business days What It Is The Testosterone Free & Total test measures how much testosterone is in your blood and how much of it your body can actually use. This test includes: • Testosterone, Total • Testosterone, Free • Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG) • Albumin Total testosterone is all the testosterone in your blood. Most of it is bound to proteins like SHBG, and only the small free portion is available for your body to use. That's why total testosterone alone can be misleading: someone with a normal total but high SHBG may still have low usable testosterone. Seeing all three together gives the clearest picture. Who It's For A Testosterone test may be ordered on its own or with other hormone tests. It is helpful for: • Men with fatigue, low sex drive, muscle loss, or low mood • Men on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) checking their levels • Women with PCOS, irregular periods, acne, or unwanted hair growth • Anyone who wants a baseline before starting hormone therapy What to Expect Preparation: No fasting required. Your Visit: A quick, 15-minute blood draw at Quick Test in Mesa, East University Drive at Power Road. No doctor's order or insurance needed — we generate the lab order for you at check-in. FSA & HSA accepted. Results: Your official lab report is posted to your secure patient portal in about 1–2 business days. Note on Turnaround Times: Processing times are estimates and not guaranteed. Reference laboratories may require extra time for confirmatory testing, sample re-runs, holidays, or unexpected equipment delays.

Testing Policy & Important Information Scheduling Requirements If you received a test code from your employer for drug testing or a third party: Do NOT book online Drug Testing hours: Monday-Friday 7 AM - 5 PM Walk in with your code during these hours Ulta Lab Tests and TB Gold (QuantiFERON) for pre-employment testing with a test code: Must call the office to schedule: (602) 428-4557 Cannot be self-booked online Saturday: By appointment only. No walk-ins on Saturday. Payment & Refunds All sales are final. If you pay for a test online and later realize you have an employer code or third-party payment, no refunds will be issued — store credit only. Recollections: Blood work is sometimes delayed in transit, lost, or needs to be recollected. While we are not responsible for laboratory delays or lost specimens, we will recollect your sample for free if needed. Cancellations & Rescheduling 24-hour cancellation notice required. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee. We may need to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances and will contact you as soon as possible.
